Hey,
We've spent the last couple of weeks auditioning and planning some events for the fall. More on those when the details firm up. We have been auditioning bassists but nobody permanent has come by yet. So for this weekend's road trip our friend Dan Ambrico from Madison Ambush will be filling in. We start rehearsing with him tonight. Dan played with Mike and Eric in another band a while back, so it'll be just like old times. But back to the road trip, we are heading to Rhode Island and Massachusetts this weekend. Here are the details:
9 PM Fri, 8/28
The Blackstone
1005 Main Street
Pawtucket, RI 02860
10 PM Sat, 8/29
Maximum Capacity
116 School St
Chicopee, MA 01013
For this second show, we'll be playing with NoSho a kickass band from Mass that we played with in Feb at Gotham Rocks.
Lastly, the CDs have been shipped, we should have them any day now and will do some pre-release events for all of our fans. Stay tuned and we'll let you know.
Ok, one more thing and then that's it, seriously. If you are going to be in New York City this weekend, please go check out King Hell at Crash Mansion. They are funny as hell and great musicians. The show is free and there is an open bar as long as you rsvp here.
Thanks
Diablo Royale

Gotham Rocks @ Crash Mansion
Another Gotham Rocks and another great night for all the bands involved. This wasn't your typical Gotham Rocks, as many of the bands on the bill were first timers. There were performances from Divergence, Kevin Delaney, Panacea, D.R.A.M.A. Kings, The Smashup, Midnight Fistfight, Planetoid, and of course, yours truly. Prizes were awarded to the bands at the end of the night, and our very own Sweetleaf was the recipient of one Spector 5-Stringbass guitar. Another successful night all around for everyone invovled!

3rd Weekend Straight in Pennsylvania
This was our first trip out to York and we had a blast playing with Evelyn's Ashes. Tom from ilike2rock.net was there and Eric from World's End (myspace.com/worldsendband) was on hand to get the band a round of 3 Wise Men (a lovely mix of Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker, and Jim Beam) during our set. We returned the favor and bought him and all of Evelyn's Ashes a round as well, and just like that, a new band tradition was born. Crash Mansion, here we come....

Gotham Rocks Sat, Some Sad News, Funny Video
So it's been a fun couple of weeks for us. We had our first taste of the road since we finished recording in the Spring. Pennsylvania was our main victim with stops in 3 cities, Allentown, Scranton and York. We had a great time and are itching to get back out. But for right now, we are back in New York City for another Gotham Rocks show. It has the usual rock solid lineup of bands, industry judges and rock n' roll debauchery. Here are the details:
Sat 8/8, show starts at 7, Diablo Royale is on at 10:30
Crash Mansion
199 Bowery @ Spring St.
The closest subway stop is the 6 train at Spring Street. Walk east to Bowery.
The J & M trains stop at Bowery and Delancey St. Walk north on Bowery.
The F train to 2nd Ave, walk west to Bowery. Turn left, go 3 blocks.
And now for some not so good news, after 3 years, 2 albums, 80 shows, and countless tootsie roll pops, our dear friend Sweetleaf has decided to part ways and forge his own trail in the world. As such, Diablo Royale is now seeking a bassist. If you or anyone you know is interested, please send an email to info@diabloroyale.net. Don't worry, Jason will be playing with us until we find a replacement, so you'll still get to hang with him this Sat.
And to leave you with something funny, watch this video of us getting locked out of our van if you haven't seen it already.
Alright, that's it until next time.
