Sirius Airplay, Biggest Show Ever On July 13 & More

DEAR DIABLO ROYALE FANS!

Sweetleaf here giving you an update on your favorite band in the world, DIABLO ROYALE.

First, CONGRATS TO US for winning the big prize at the last Gotham Rocks show which got us played on Sirius XM Radio. The DJ Kayla loves us and the feeling is mutual. We're looking forward to blowing more peoples' minds as we do our best to get played more and more on Sirius XM Radio!!!

Next, we are super psyched to be playing at one of our favorite and most prestigious venues in NYC, the BLENDER THEATRE! Oh yeah!!! It takes place on July 13 and you can get tickets in advance here. It's the first time we've played this venue and we need to pack the place in order to make it to the next stage of our band's plan: which is: conquering the world and beyond. If we get the place nice and crowded and sweaty, the venue bookers will want us back again and again and again and again (okay you get the point). Anyway be there!

The summer tour schedule is coming together. We are going to be traveling farther than before, and at venues that are new to us. As we bring some bands to NYC to play with us, they have been inviting us out to their turf and we are excited to taking some cool road trips. Someone from the band (not me) will be videotaping our adventures and posting them on our web page (again, not me) for your viewing pleasure so visit our website for updates.

And last but not least, the recording of our new album is DONE!!!! We are mixing, mastering, arguing, finalizing the artwork, arguing, and finishing up (and arguing). Just kidding. We get along fine.

Gotham Rocks!

...And did it ever. After a good break from playing live we were psyched to hit the stage and hell bent on splitting some eardrums. The night had some great bands including our good buddies Shadow's Lie, and King Hell. DR had another successful showing, and because we rock so hard, we were featured on Sirius XM's Octane channel with our favorite DJ Kayla! All in all the night was a great success and we're looking forward to the next Gotham Rocks which will be held at BLENDER THEATER on 7/13, so don't miss out! More pics in the fan club section. Sweetleaf here to let you know that our last show on Saturday night was videotaped by our friend Vanessa from Sweatshop - so if you missed it (and shame on you if you did) you can check it out on our Diablo Royale public access show!

The TV Quality version (if you can call it that) will be on CHANNEL 56 THURSDAY (6/11) AT MIDNIGHT. OK technically Friday morning at Midnight but that's how they roll.

Before you tune in expecting this to be flashy and high budget, let me warn you that this was a lo-fi, lo-budget, down and dirty and grimy show so expect the video and audio to be lower than our typical super-high standards. However, we kicked ass in my humble opinion so check it out!!!!

Final Diablo Royale Bulletin Till Our Next Show!

Hey there!

Sweetleaf here, your favorite bass player from your favorite band DIABLO ROYALE giving you THE FINAL BULLETIN (awwwwww!) before our next show, and a personal update on what is going on with us!

If you've been reading my annoying bulletins every week (and I know you have), then you know we've been hard at work on our second album, and it is just about done! (FINALLY!)  We have set up Summer tour dates now (our website has the whole summer lineup), and... brace yourself.... with some international dates being planned for the fall! Now I need to find my passport and try to keep G-Man off the no-fly list. I can't wait for the cavity search coming back from Amsterdam airport...

Anyway... you know we're trying to release this new album a bit differently than most other bands since the music industry is so screwed up.  Rather than sell the album like usual, we want to involve our fans in a more personalized way, by having you sponsor the album instead - in return, we are offering package deals on merchandise and other goodies, as well as other awesome stuff like VIP treatment at our shows, appearance in our next music video, listing your name in our liner notes, free admission to our shows, all the way up to participating in some of the money we make.

We launched the program back in April, and we have raised a pretty good chunk of change, almost enough to cover the costs of making the album! But there are only a few days left to get involved. This whole deal ends on Satan's Birthday, Saturday 6/6 - the day of our Gotham Rocks Showcase at Crash Mansion which we are playing with a bunch of our friends like Shadows Lie, King Hell and many others. Crash Mansion is located at 199 Bowery. When you get involved at the VIP level, you get FREE ADMISSION to this show!
