Hard Rock & Hard Rain At Six Flags On Halloween
Despite the rainy forecast, Diablo Royale, along with fellow rockers 13th Floor and Zodiac, trucked down to Jackson, NJ for the annual Fright Fest show. With dark clouds looming on the horizon, the show was close to being canceled, but the gods smiled apon us and held the rain off just long enough for DR to take the stage and rock out. Once we were done however, the good luck ran out, the skies opened up, and the rain poured down. Subsequently, the show was stopped and the night came to an abrupt end. Many thanks to Eric Applegate for filling in on drums, and many many thanks to the guys from Zodiac and 13th Floor for providing the backline (that they never go to use). I guess it helps to have friends in high (or is that low?) places.
Gotham Rocks - New York City Modern Rock on TV!
Another Gotham Rocks and another great show. This time around we had a professional camera and sound crew who taped the entire night, so we'll soon have video for everyone who couldn't be there. We shared the stage with The August Infinity, Swear On Your Life and in a teary moment for the crowd, Shadow's Lie; who played their last show together and have since gone their "Separate Ways." DR took on another Sabbath tune, and we unleashed "Children of the Grave", which ( with all due respect to Sabbath) was played harder and heavier than ever before, and will no doubt become a staple of the DR set list. We topped off our set with a 3-way harmony when Adrian grabbed a guitar and joined in on Remedy. All in all, another successful show.

Road Trip To The Land Of The Red Sox & Patriots
Friday, 8/28/09 - Blackstone, Pawtucket, RI
This was our first trip out to RI and our first show with our good friend Dan Ambrico, who is filling for us on bass until we can find a permanent replacement for Sweetleaf. Despite the crawling rush hour traffic between Brooklyn and New Haven, we managed to get to Pawtucket just in time to set up and take the stage. Thanks to Erin for putting this all together for us.
Saturday, 8/29/09 - Maximum Capacity, Chipocee, MA
What do you get when you cross UFC fighting, a "lead singer ego-ramp", Cookie Monster vocals, and a wiseass soundguy? Maximum Capacity in Chipocee, MA. This was a fun night and a solid set at a great venue. Thanks to Pete (the wiseass soundguy) for all the laughs, and thanks to Nosho for getting us on the bill. We're looking forward to coming back for more.

End Of Summer Road Trip
Hey,
We've spent the last couple of weeks auditioning and planning some events for the fall. More on those when the details firm up. We have been auditioning bassists but nobody permanent has come by yet. So for this weekend's road trip our friend Dan Ambrico from Madison Ambush will be filling in. We start rehearsing with him tonight. Dan played with Mike and Eric in another band a while back, so it'll be just like old times. But back to the road trip, we are heading to Rhode Island and Massachusetts this weekend. Here are the details:
9 PM Fri, 8/28
The Blackstone
1005 Main Street
Pawtucket, RI 02860
10 PM Sat, 8/29
Maximum Capacity
116 School St
Chicopee, MA 01013
For this second show, we'll be playing with NoSho a kickass band from Mass that we played with in Feb at Gotham Rocks.
Lastly, the CDs have been shipped, we should have them any day now and will do some pre-release events for all of our fans. Stay tuned and we'll let you know.
Ok, one more thing and then that's it, seriously. If you are going to be in New York City this weekend, please go check out King Hell at Crash Mansion. They are funny as hell and great musicians. The show is free and there is an open bar as long as you rsvp here.
Thanks
Diablo Royale

Gotham Rocks @ Crash Mansion
Another Gotham Rocks and another great night for all the bands involved. This wasn't your typical Gotham Rocks, as many of the bands on the bill were first timers. There were performances from Divergence, Kevin Delaney, Panacea, D.R.A.M.A. Kings, The Smashup, Midnight Fistfight, Planetoid, and of course, yours truly. Prizes were awarded to the bands at the end of the night, and our very own Sweetleaf was the recipient of one Spector 5-Stringbass guitar. Another successful night all around for everyone invovled!

3rd Weekend Straight in Pennsylvania
This was our first trip out to York and we had a blast playing with Evelyn's Ashes. Tom from ilike2rock.net was there and Eric from World's End (myspace.com/worldsendband) was on hand to get the band a round of 3 Wise Men (a lovely mix of Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker, and Jim Beam) during our set. We returned the favor and bought him and all of Evelyn's Ashes a round as well, and just like that, a new band tradition was born. Crash Mansion, here we come....
